4 years in a blog post

A special day calls for a blog post! What special day? New Year's Eve, of course. It's the last day of 2011 and I can finally judge how my year was. Heh.

At the beginning of the year, when I realised that I wouldn't be able to blog on a daily basis anymore, like I did last year, mostly because I'm too lazy, I told myself that I'd post more than 50 posts on this blog this year. And guess what? This is my 51st post :-P

HAPPY NEW YEAR'S EVE!

2011 was a great year. A lot of challenges and obstacles were faced, but I got through them. Just like every other year, it had its ups and its downs. I'll definitely miss 2011, especially my SMSS school mates. Everything is just so different without them.

I guess the two things I'll miss most are: my omgsofriendly school mates and PRYNSA.

I don't know how many times I'll be saying this throughout my life, but I seriously seriously miss PRYNSA. I miss every little memory from PRYNSA.

I miss going to our sites to catch the crabs under the hot sun. I miss sweating like no tomorrow at the sites. I miss how we usually go to Sumbangsih just to get ABC. I miss that evil Uca Forcipata which "kiapped" our fingers. I miss spending a lot of time typing out our PRYNSA reports. I miss practicing for the presentation relentlessly. I even miss the teachers' negative comments on our presentation. Ah, there's just too much I miss from PRYNSA, typing them all would take forever.

For the first half of the year, I had to stand by the main gate with T.Sabu and a few other counsellors, to say "Good morning" to every student.. I swear I know everyone's faces already. HAHA. It was a very.. weird thing to do ok.. Standing by the gate and saying good morning -_-"


I really don't know what to type right now, wtf. The whole year was normal, and it just flew past. I hate how it flew past, so quickly. Asdflhgjasgha. I miss my Year 11C classmates a lot. I miss D'Mazeltov.


I think I know what I'll do :D This will be a super duper duper duper long post and I'll type about my 4 years in Seri Mulia Sarjana Secondary School (and my friends from school..) . Yep.

I'll probably just be throwing myself into a pit of embarrassment by uploading all these pictures, but whatever. HAHA. At least...... this post will be.... entertaining? You can just look at my pictures, point at them and laugh your ass off. Hah.

2008

Jacqueline & Lai. 

These two were my really close friends throughout Year 7... To be honest, I don't have vivid memories about Year 7.... I can remember Primary 6 more vividly than I can remember Year 7. Weird, right?

I was such a good girl, with my uniform tucked in (and my muffin top showing wtf), sleeves down and the top button buttoned up. When I reached Year 10, I just never bothered to button up the topmost button and I always roll my sleeves up. Heh. 

Chinese New Year 2008, when I invited people I barely knew to my house for an openhouse. HAHA. 

I remember Zeke staying till about midnight because she loved my Lego candy. :P

Mary, Jacqueline and Janane also left, after Year 8. Haih.

There's this picture I really want to upload but I know Carrie will bury me alive if I do upload it up here :P

Then, we had a fieldtrip to OGDC. Two actually, but I missed one of them. :p

I also joined Karate with Lai...

At the end of the year, we had a class party. These were .. most of my classmates. 

I finally straightened my hair, wtf. 

I remember nothing but getting first place this year after a struggle; having very competitive competitors in my class. My class ah, all smart smart one. It was so scary you know. HAHA. 

And I went out with these people to "celebrate". HAHA.

We also took these silly prints at Uni Arcade. HAHA. 

I give up on arranging the pictures, it was so hard -_-"

I also remember Teacher Carrie giving us her email address and saying that she used "01" because her name is Ling Yii. HAHA. 

I also remember Teacher Jimmy being our Science teacher, and after he left, Teacher Agerico taught us Science and actually filled us up with random knowledge which had nothing to do with the syllabus, leaving Teacher Susie very frustrated the next year because we knew nothing about the last few Year 7 topics when we did revision :-P 

2009 

SPE OMGWTFBBQ. I also started blogging, so if you've been reading this blog for a very long time, you.. probably already know. HAHA. 

I got closer to this girl :') NO REGRETS. I would actually regret if I didn't. 

Uh yeah, I remember people thinking that I was a Malay because of this picture...

This was during our Bruneiana Chinese New Year Celebration? I don't remember what it was called, but it was National Day + Chinese New Year Celebration. 

Joined BASE Camp with Aina, Zulwaqar and Zharief; where Aina and I were asked to go to sleep when we didn't want to and were asked to stay up when we wanted to sleep... and also where I was forced to dance =_=

 Met a lot of amazing people there, and a few ended up being my close friends now. 

They're all not in that picture I just posted.... That picture is a picture of the team I was placed in. To be honest, if you ask me the names of ANY of them, I wouldn't know. I think I forgot everyone's names.. Wait, I remember the teacher's name and also Muna's, but the rest, zero, no idea at all. HEHE. 

We got into the finals and ended up getting 5th place. :#

Got closer to a few people at this time.. Mizah, Syaf, Jonathan, Alai, Zanna, yeah I guess that's it :P 

I was the treasurer in English Society, and we had a heck load of activities that year. 

Fun Days.

We also prepared roses and gifts for teachers who are mothers on Mother's Day; with our society members singing the song "Thank You". Heh. 

And then, we had our nerve wracking orals for SPE. 

We so chill, we taking pictures. HAHAH.

Man, I miss these girls ;_;

I think they were promoting global warming. HAHAHA.

And then, we had lunch at Sing U Me. 

They were all done with their orals before I was and they waited for me. So sweet of them <3 

The food was already there, getting cold already, but they still waited! 

And here comes Term 3 holidays, when they tormented us with Extra Classes which didn't really help, I guess. 

But as you can see, we made the best out of it.

I think I started it by writing "Punch Me" on his forehead. HAHA. Kenny wrote "HIV positive" on his left cheek (not shown in picture) and Carrie wrote "Zhou wo!" on his right cheek.

Ah, I miss those times. I miss Maverick :( 

AND THIS, everyone, is Kenny Lee. In this picture, he shows you how the pros hide their newly pierced ear piercings. HAHAHA. He used a plaster to cover his ear piercing =_=" Wtf. HAHA. 

And there was that time when Lai, Janane and I decided to draw on a part of our neighbourhood's.. road. I think it took days to wash off despite the heavy rains. HAHA.

At the end of the year, we decided to have a beach party or something since most of us were being separated.... But guess what.... only a few of us turned up that day.

Jonathan, who apparently didn't eat for a week, ate the macaroni I brought. Heh heh. 

OH YEAH, we had a LOT of drinks too. And we ended up wasting a few cans of Coke. Man, it was fun. We even took videos. :P

That was the last time I saw her. She disappeared after that! :(

Janane Yogesan; also one of the last times I saw her =___= She left for Australia without knowing that she was going to stay there for good. Hah.

Maverick Malabanan. The guy who left us somewhere in March, making all of us cry :( 

I miss this guy man. HAHA. So much. 

After that was the Awarding Ceremony..

The first time they did "If I were a voice" ; with ... costumes.

It was also the last time I got first place. FML. HAHAHA.

2010

Oh my gosh, this is going to be a super long post. I'm getting lazy already.

YEAR 10C

And this is Year 10C, after Shahina left in the middle of the year. 

I don't know how many times I've said this, but, eventhough we were in our own cliques on the first day of school and everything was so awkward...... We ended up like one big happy family. Don't all of us look happy? :D (Except for Koo.............)

The day when Christy and Ruby intended to take a picture of Lim and I and cut off our heads to stick on the bulletin board on our class. But they didn't do it in the end. Heh.

We had to do this Biology project and my group (Carrie, Christy, Lai, Jenifer and I) chose to do plant cells...... It was more of taking pictures and eating. HAHA. Our first plant cell was awesome and pretty but T. Jeffrey said it wasn't detailed enough, so we made another one, but it was crap. And one day, Ervin went over to Lai's house to help her make one out of jelly..... Yeah, he was nice, I don't know what happened to him. Or maybe he just hates me. Pfft. 

But anyway, what he did turned out to be crappy. HAHAHA. (In your face, ervin, wtf) 

So, Lai and I made another one during midnight... in my carpark. HAHA. I am serious. Really. 

JENIFER FU. SHE'S SO DANGEROUS WTF. CAN U SEE HOW DANGEROUS SHE IS??? HAHAHA

I think she was cutting the nucleus. HAHA. This is Christy before she got her braces, I don't even really know why she got braces :P 

This is my classmate of 10 years, Carrie Tay. Guess what she was doing?

Aside from asking me not to take a picture la.. obviously...

She was ordering Pizza Hut, wtf. HAHA. We gave the pizza guy a hard time because it was raining so heavily on that day. HEHE. 

And then we started painting... newspapers. Loljk we were painting the parts of the cell.

I give you the permission to pretend that you don't know me. HAHAHA.

And then it was Kelvin's birthday :D We all chipped in some money and got him a cake. Aren't we lovely? ;) 

I was the president of "Teatro Sarjana" in 2010; Drama & Theatre Society, despite having zero talents in drama and stuff. 

We did a play entitled "Moon River" for the 1st drama competition between private schools and emerged as the champions, with St. Andrew's as second place. 

It was so much hard work and sweat ok. REALLY. I myself sweated buckets on our final rehearsal before the competition..... removing the staples and redoing the backdrop. HAHA. 

A few weeks later, we were asked to do the play again, this time at Rizqun for the BELTA Oratory Competition. 

Moon River was back with the same cast, less production members but on a bigger stage with better lightings, better sound effects and a bigger audience.

Rehearsing for Moon River, that time, was a lot more frustrating and more tiring. We had to perfect it, and we didn't have enough people backstage. 

But the performance was amazing. 

I learnt that setting up microphones and adjusting the lights and everything is a VERY TEDIOUS job. HAHA. But it was fun :))

Panicking like crazy and almost dying because the laptop suddenly decided to hang and I couldn't change the sound effects. T.Toni was so frustrated and she was (almost) screaming into that microphone thinggy. HAHA.

Yeah, that microphone thinggy. :P

Okie. What else?

Right, BBN. We had this English project, and we had to do this news programme thing. Our group comprised of; Christy, Michelle, Yvonne, Kinky, Carrie, Lai, Jenifer, Gary & I. Yep, Gary was the only guy B) 

We shot everything except for the weather part at Empire.

Oh yeah, I also joined Chinese Class. HAHA. 

This felt like it was so long ago, but in actual fact, it was just last year D:

The day we spent talking about a lot of stories on tables. Yep. 

There was even a picture of me pretending to be superman but I don't know where that picture went. 

This is how our typical Chinese class is like :-P HAHA, kidding. That was the last day of Chinese Class.

And now, Awarding Ceremony 2010.

I was one of the "Support team" members to ensure the "smooth flow" of the programme. HAHA. I had to "beg" a few of my friends to come over to help out :P

That was probably the last time I saw Harish. He was leaving the school for Malaysia soon and yet he still came over to help us out. So sweet of him ♥

First time in 8 years I didn't get first place..... and yet I wasn't that disappointed. Hahah. Maybe because I had the company of so many awesome friends on that night (;  

Teacher Mudasir went on stage with me as she was my class teacher and my parents weren't there... and then I found out that she was also leaving our school for St. Andrew's... Hah. 

Did I mention that I was the Head of Counsellors in 2010? HAHA. Yeah, I didn't do much... :P 

There's one thing I did though. I went to Labi with a few other counsellors and prefects from the primary section. Tadah. 

I was also supposed to give this Anti-Drug speech thinggy but I completely missed the whole event and Teacher Sabu wanted to kill me. HEHE :# 

My life in 2010 and 2011 revolved around PRYNSA 13. BUT I'LL JUST SAVE THE PRYNSA BIT FOR LATER ON. HAHA. 

2011

Finally, 2011. It was an amazing year.

WE WON PRYNSA 13!!!!! :D 

Seriously the freaking best memory I've ever had (Most probably because it took up about 1 year of my life and because we won HAHA) It changed so much about me. 

PRYNSA 13 was a gratifying experience for me. It was adventurous, thrilling, tiring and brain-wrecking, all at the same time. Being chosen as the captain of our school’s PRYNSA 13 team is a “once-in-a-life-time” opportunity and I am very happy to be part of it.

Being in the PRYNSA 13 team has taught me a lot of new things about Mother Nature and the value of teamwork. If it weren’t for this project, I would not have discovered the beauty of fiddler crabs in Brunei Darussalam. After all these months, I have learnt to appreciate all the flora and fauna of Mother Nature.

Our PRYNSA research wasn't an easy task. We had to wait patiently at the side without making any noise so that the fiddler crabs will come out of their burrows. Even the slightest noise sends them scuttling back to their burrows. We also made a lot of sacrifices during our holidays for this project, but it was worth it.

The experience I’ve gained from PRYNSA 13 is very memorable and this experience will definitely be engraved in my memories. I am truly honoured to be part of our school’s PRYNSA 13 team and I must thank my teachers for giving me this wonderful opportunity. ☺

We were all so proud of ourselves. Of course we were. All our hard work paid off. :') 

We were all over the papers the next day and we even went on the news.

I was on the TV for the first time. BAHAHAH. I mean, I was speaking live on TV for the first time. It was scary =_=" I didn't know what to say, AT ALL. Just went with the flow~ There was this part of the interview where all of us didn't know what to answer and we were like "UHHHHHH.." HEHE. 

On the 5th May 2011, we had a FREE DAY at school...

And that was when....................

My sweet sweet classmates surprised me with a sweet sweet cake, and a card filled with sweet sweet words. 

I bet they did all the planning when I wasn't in class because of PRYNSA!! >: ( HAHA. I love you guys so much.

IF THAT WASN'T GOOD ENOUGH..

Graduation 2011.

I just realised that I haven't blogged about the biggest event this year, wtf. And that's graduation. HAHA. I guess it's just because I don't know what to type and I've already typed about how much I'll miss my friends and classmates and everything in one of my posts.

So, I graduated from Seri Mulia Sarjana as the Valedictorian :') 

I made a crappy speech and just went with the flow. I was asked to cut down my speech to 3 minutes instead of 6 minutes just before I got on stage. Guess how much chaos there was in my head, I didn't know what to cut out, so I just simply said anything which came into my mind.

There was this time when I totally didn't know what to say and then from within the crowd, Ruby shouted "GO SHEENA!!!!!" HAHA. ♥ 

Well, on the bright side, my speech didn't sound scripted... because it really wasn't. :P 

I didn't get to say what I wanted to say, but who cares? 

I love SMSS, and I always will.

I'll miss each and every one of the people I've met there. 

I can't imagine how my life would be like if I didn't go to SMSS.
